About Me
I am a fourth-year Communication Studies major from Louisville, Kentucky. Currently working as the Managing Editor for The Oberlin Review, I have also worked as a production editor and the Conservatory Editor for the same publication. I studied classical voice performance throughout high school, but after a year continuing vocal studies at Oberlin, quickly realized my passion for writing and communications.
My classical training allows me to write thorough and detailed critiques of music and performances, but I am also passionate about all aspects of the arts and social issues. I beleive media is an incredibly important part of how people see the world, and I work to make sure people are as informed as possible about pressing topics.

Oberlin Office of Communications
At the Oberlin Alumni Magazine, I collaborated closely with editors to craft, write, and edit compelling stories about notable alumni, ensuring each piece aligned with the magazine's distinctive style.
“The Trailblazers: As the long-running co-hosts of Radiolab, Jad Abumrad ’95 and Robert Krulwich ’69 made sound investments in the art of storytelling.”
“The Storytellers: With the podcast Magic in the United States, Heather Freeman ’97 and Amber Walker ’11 weave magic on the airwaves.”
At Running to the Noise, Oberlin College President Carmen Twillie Ambar’s podcast, I conduct comprehensive research and pitch compelling guest candidates for new monthly episodes and craft insightful questions designed to foster thoughtful and engaging conversations. After recording, I provide detailed editing notes to our audio engineers to ensure high-quality production. I am proficient in both Descript and Riverside audio software, enabling efficient editing and workflow management.
A music journalism blog started my second year of college as a way to self publish work written in music criticism courses.
